How we work

A tax team you
can get to know.

You should know how to get help with your work. We start by understanding your situation, then agree the services, communication arrangements and fee.

Clear contact arrangements. Support that fits the work.

For tax preparation, we explain how to send information and raise questions about your return. A focused planning project has an identified contact, a defined question and agreed deliverables.

Every client has a lead contact who coordinates the agreed work with the supporting team. Year-round advisory adds planning, reviews and follow-through, and family-office engagements can include broader coordination across the family’s tax work and existing advisors.

Getting started

01

Tell us what is on your mind

A particular tax question, a planned transaction or help with a return is enough to begin. Tell us about any relevant timing and the advisors already involved.

02

Agree the work and fee

We discuss what the engagement includes, what you will receive, how to reach the people handling the work and the fee. We confirm the arrangements before starting. Each return or project begins with a signed engagement letter that sets the scope and fee.

03

Work through the questions

For a return, we gather and review the required records. For planning, we examine the alternatives and coordinate with other professionals where that is part of the agreed work.

04

Confirm the next steps

A return engagement covers the agreed filings and related questions. A focused project ends with findings and next steps. For ongoing advisory, we agree review points and the changes that should prompt an earlier discussion.

Continuity matters.

For ongoing advisory relationships, your tax history, prior analysis and open questions stay with the engagement team. When responsibilities change, we introduce the person taking over and arrange the handover.

Your existing advisors are welcome.

You do not need to replace the people you trust. We can work directly with your attorney, investment advisor, trustee, bookkeeper or family-office staff when that coordination is included in the engagement.

We agree who is involved and what may be shared. The work might be a specific question about a transaction, a tax projection for your investment advisor or broader coordination throughout the year.

Before we work together

Is an ongoing advisory engagement required?

No. We are happy to discuss a single return, a focused planning question or an ongoing relationship. Return preparation does not require an advisory engagement; ongoing planning and broader coordination are separate services.

How do clients reach the team?

Every client has a lead contact. For a return, we also explain the channel for documents and questions. A focused project has agreed deliverables and dates. For ongoing advisory, the lead contact coordinates the agreed planning and reviews. These arrangements are confirmed before we begin.

How do you maintain continuity?

In ongoing advisory, we keep the relevant history, prior analysis and open questions with the engagement team. When responsibilities change, we introduce the person taking over and arrange a handover.

How are fees handled?

We agree the services and fee before starting. The extent of the work, its complexity and whether it is a project or an ongoing engagement affect the scope and fee in your engagement letter. Additional work is discussed rather than assumed.

Will clients know the people handling their work?

Yes. We introduce the people handling your engagement directly and explain how to reach them. Contact and coverage arrangements reflect the work we have agreed.

Tell us what you need help with.

An ongoing relationship, a specific question or a tax return. Tell us what you have in mind.
